Armstrong Redwoods State Reserve
At the end of Armstrong Woods Road at the second traffic signal off River Road you will find the Armstrong Redwoods State Reserve. The park has 805 acres of natural beauty, featuring a awe-inspiring grove of ancient redwoods. The park also offers self-guided trails, picnic areas and a large amphitheater. Some of California's tallest and oldest redwoods grow in Armstrong: the Parson Jones Tree is over 310 feet high and the Colonel Armstrong Tree is more than 1,400 years old.
